Edward Leigh at the Public Meeting

At the public meeting held on 8th February at the Newtoft Social Club our MP, Mr Edward Leigh, gave a very strong and heartening endorsement of our efforts, together with a ringing denunciation of Mr Briggs’s operation. Mr Leigh stated in no uncertain terms that the Faldingworth site should be closed to testing activities forthwith, but that the responsibility for doing this lay squarely with West Lindsey District Council. Mr Leigh also stated his intention to write to the MOD with a view to cutting off the test work at source.
